Develop relationships and uncover sales opportunities through Regional Architect & Design firms. Work in partnership with the local sales team to develop and support successful business opportunities. These opportunities will be the result of building/maintaining positive perceptions of our brand, products and services; building/maintaining strong, meaningful relationships; being both responsive and proactive; being recognized as a knowledge resource and providing consultative support (product application and process navigation) for project activities to A&D, end users and our internal team; and contributing to the development of positioning and selling strategies for those opportunities. Develop relationships and uncover sales opportunities with Regional PMC’s. Work in partnership with the local sales team to develop and support successful business opportunities/ •Implement a focused sales strategy targeting the A & D Community: •Implement a focused sales strategy for assigned Regional PMC’s: •Maintain relationships with other subject experts and leading edge practitioners to stay current and connected, and conversant on trends and their implications •Participate and be an active member in industry organizations such as Corenet Global & IFMA. Be the face of HNI and uncover business opportunities through relationships built through these organizations •Be able to present and discuss with confidence Workplace Strategy Concepts. Work in partnership with the Workplace Strategy team and pull them in when appropriate.
Experience/Education Required
• BS in Design or Management;
• 10 years in Design, Furniture, Corporate Real Estate or related Industry;
• Personnel management or team leadership
• Global Account Management experience preferred
Skills/Knowledge Required
• A thorough knowledge of the breadth of HNI’s products, internal processes and resources to support project activities and requirements
• Highly skilled public speaker
• Skills in presentations and proposals – written - to A&D, end users and other influencers
• Skills in product application consulting – how to appropriately interpret goals and/or requirements into product solutions with an eye to competitive positioning.
• Strong relationship building and people skills
• Sound business judgment, good time management, and organization skills.
