Project Engineers
The Project Engineer will take on lead roles for projects from concept through initial production in an integrated product development team environment. He/she will also provide support to components sourcing, production and quality control, as required, during all phases of design, development, and qualification including proposals, design reviews, inquiries and sustaining engineering tasks. You will at times be called on to use your design experience in reviewing design effectiveness and/or contribute to the design.
The projects include power conversion, dimming topology and system control electronics lighting products. Responsibilities include oversight of the design, test and documentation of electronic projects, contribution to the overall design effort as well as participation in systems design and requirements development. Guidance and mentoring of the project team members is also expected.
Required experience and technical knowledge include:
· BS in Electrical Engineering, advanced degree preferred
· Up to 7 years industry experience with 3 years of project lead experience
· Experience designing isolated and non-isolated, class 1 and class 2 power suppliers
· Experience in solid-state lighting products, specially in LED driver
· Strong analog and/or power electronics design experience
· Experience with MCU design
· Experience in UL and FCC compliance
· Experience using PCB board design and troubleshooting
· Experience in generating design and analysis documentation
Required organizational attributes include:
· Strong organizational, communications and problem solving skills
· A comprehensive understanding of the product development process
· Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
