JOB TITLE: (senior) Field Application Engineer
DEPARTMENT: Sales Dept
REPORTS TO: RSM
SUPERVISION: FAE Manager
Coordinates with others (Internal): (Fulfillment) Sales; Regional Industry Marketing Managers, Product Design, Project Management, RPM
Coordinates with others (External): Key customer architecture
OBJECTIVE OF JOB
To provide Technical Support to increase number of customer design-wins with Molex’s interconnect solutions in Datacomm Applications.
SPECIFIC TASKS:
-Provide Technical Support to design-in Molex’s interconnect solutions in Datacomm System.
-Drive design-in efforts with sales to ensure Molex win majority print position in all new programs in early development phase .
-Work with sales to review and increase CRM Pipeline Opportunities (P0 -P2)
-Provide technical advice to Marketing and/or Sales on compatibility of existing products for new applications.
-Create Molex product and technology awareness among internal and external Customers via technical presentations, trainings and road shows.
-To identify and recommend a new target product development related to specific industries or applications to Molex organization.
-To identify potential market demands and product opportunities in existing or new market.
-Conduct regular market research to analyze new technology and applications roadmap and linkage to interconnect opportunities.
-To identify emerging market trends and recommend strategic moves within Molex for future market alignment.
-Contribute to the marketing strategy development by providing input on competitor activities and field sales trend.
WORK EXPERIENCE/EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
-Bachelor of Electronics Engineering or related discipline
-At least ３ years’ relevant working experience in electronics or electrical , preferably in technical support, Sales &Marketing or hardware design &test
-Good understanding of High Speed Signal integrity design issues, analytical modeling skills and empirical testing skills preferred.
-Knowledge of network architecture a plus.
-Awareness of the latest technology and design tradeoffs.
-Customer focus and orientation
-Be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills and with good analytical mind, willing to learn, supportive, detailed, organized and presentable
-Computer skills required.
