Main Roles & Responsibilities:
Conceives and develops solutions to engineering programs through the application of professionally accepted engineering techniques, practices and procedures. Responsible for ensuring that suppliers deliver quality parts, materials, and services.
Typical duties:
· Qualifies suppliers according to company standards.
· Monitors parts from acquisition through the manufacturing cycle, and communicates and resolves supplier-related problems as they occur.
· Develops and prioritizes an auditing schedule to ensure that designated suppliers are audited on a regular basis to ensure GMPs and quality standards are met.
· Evaluates suppliers' internal functions to assess their overall performance and provides feedback in assessment of their operation.
· Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of data requires evaluation of identifiable factors.
· Demonstrates good judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
· Normally receives little instruction on day-to-day work, general instructions on new assignments.
· A seasoned, experienced professional with a full understanding of area of specialization; resolves a wide range of issues in creative ways.
· Implement supplier engineering quality systems and initiatives at suppliers
· Coordinate overall technical and quality activities with suppliers
· This job is the fully qualified, career-oriented, journey-level position.
Educational & Competency Requirements:
· Job typically requires a Bachelor's Degree or higher in Mechanical or Electronics.
· Knowledge of media and/or substrate process, experienced as process engineer or development engineer is a plus
· Typically requires a minimum of 5 years of related experience.
· Familiar with SPC/Statistics, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing practices will be an advantage.
