Responsibilities:
• Lead the technical process audit to qualify new cells and cell suppliers under the supervision of the Cell Quality Leadership Team
• Drive the supplier’s resources to reach higher performance level and achieve higher suppliers’ overall predictive quality
• Develop supplier risk review tool and drive actionable initiative's to reduce escapes at suppliers
• Establish and maintain a system of metrics to continually monitor measurable supplier and quality performance
• Supervise the team on performing process & BOM audits, and implementation of supplier quality improvement plans
• Execute and monitor quality performance of cell, at incoming and with the supplier/sub-tier from their incoming/in-process/final/test requirement
• Provide support on timely containment activities and failure analysis along with corrective action with supplier to identify and resolve the root cause of the problem
• Ensure on-time implementation of corrective actions and verification of preventative action effectiveness
• Frequent trips in China and occasionally overseas travel to cell suppliers are required
Requirements:
• Bachelor Degree in Chemical/Mechanical/Material/electronics/semiconductors Engineering or related disciplines
• At least 3-5 years' relevant working experience in battery cell industry or semiconductors industry, with sound track record of supplier quality management
• Experience in PPAP, FMEAs, Gauge R&Rs, MSA's, and Process Control Plans
• Ability to interpret industry specific standards and knowledge of change control methods and processes
• 6-Sigma Green-Belt or higher is a plus
• Fluent level in written and spoken English, Mandarin is advantageous
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Good leadership, able to challenge existing norms both internally and externally and suggest improvement plans
