Main accountabilities: (Briefly describe the position’s main accountabilities)
1. Review customer RFQ’s with the D&D/NPI teams, to gain a good understand of RFQ requirements.
2. Work with New Product Development (NPD) teams to ensure the integrity and clarity of engineering drawing requirements and that all expectations are communicated effectively to suppliers & Zobele quality teams.
3. Interact with NPD teams to ensure suppliers are involved in development and review of specifications to promote design for manufacturability.
4. Investigate alternate component technologies for reduced cost or improved quality and reliability and implements changes.
5. Visit suppliers regularly so as to evaluate their capability to meet high volume manufacturing demands and quality standards.
6. Work closely with the Product Development Team and New Product Introduction Team to insure that new materials and processes are properly implemented in design and properly executed by suppliers
7. Build Supplier network to increase speed & accuracy in replying to RFQ’s.
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor degree or above in engineering & commercial awareness
Experience:
At least 6 years’ experience in a FDA industry (air care, or foods or homecare or health-related products) in a manufacturing environment. Rich experience in manufacturing technologies/state of the art/trends/design concepts.
Specific Knowledge: (Technical/Product, Organisational and Interpersonal)
• Must possess previous Mechatronics/Hardware sourcing experience
• Must possess and demonstrate proficient technical knowledge with electronic and electro-mechanical commodities
• Demonstrated strong and effective verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
• Must be team-oriented, possess a positive attitude and work well with others
• Must demonstrate effective analytical and negotiation skills
• Must demonstrate a proven track record organizing, prioritizing, and multi-tasking in a flexible, fast paced and changing environment to effectively meet deadlines
• Demonstrates exemplary judgment regarding product usability, customer expectations, and creative product tradeoffs
• Ability to travel domestically
