Job Title: Buyer
Department:Supply Chain
Reports to: Director of Supplier Management
Position Overview: Ensures timely delivery of all Purchase Orders in meeting with company goals and policies. Communicates with vendors and resolves issues that could result in late deliveries. Maintain accurate information in ODOO regarding orders and deliveries.
Position Responsibilities:
-Run MRP, Create Purchase Requisitions, and release approved PO’s to vendors
-Confirm supplier delivery dates
-Update Vendor ETD in ODOO and other Logistics related tasks
-Operate as the major contact window with Customer Service Department for goods allocation under shipment planning
-Notify appropriate Purchasing Managers when there are any unresolved delivery issues through the notification system in ODOO
-Source new vendors as required
-Arrange and attend vendor meetings at IC Intracom offices or vendor location
-Create and run related reports as required
-Take and file meeting minutes
-Other tasks as assigned
Essential Skills and Experience:
-Strong communication skills in written English and written and spoken Mandarin
-Ability to ensure on time delivery and vendor performance
-Problem solving ability
-Interacts well with vendors, clients, managers and staff
-Ability to work productively and professionally with others
-Proficient with Microsoft Office
