JOB SUMMARY:
The main responsibility of the Product Engineering Manager is to monitor and manage the operation, performance and KPI of the department, prepare the process, tooling and fixture, equipment in the new product introduction stage, transfer related documents, and deal with the abnormal problems of the process, tooling and fixture, and equipment in the mass production process.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Responsible for Product Engineering Department management to oversee each engineer performance appraisal and goal (KPI) setting.
• Develop, evaluate and optimize manufacturing methodology and process driving on quality, cost, delivery and yield improvement.
• Lead daily production troubleshooting, Kaizen, cost reduction and value engineering projects, and lean manufacturing implementation. Support quality improvement and scrap reduction.
• Work with NPI and Automation team to optimize manufacturing feasibility and Dfx engagement, new capacities and capabilities readiness for mass production.
• Responsible to process control, spare control, work with Industrial Engineering and equipment maintenance team to optimize overall equipment/process efficiency, cycle time, capacity and capabilities.
• Coach and develop team members on their knowledge and working skills, provide the direction to engineers to outcome any technical problems.
• Maintain the tooling/fixture to ensure a stable manufacturing environment and minimize the downtime.
• Ownership of BOM, MIP, SOP, DOE, FA, DFX and PFMEA.
• Complete other tasks which assigned by line manager.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Minimum 6 years’ experience in similar position a must - Preferably from mobile accessory, automotive interior, or EMS industry.
• Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electronics Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience, knowledge and skills in Heat press, Laser cutting, CNC, Mechanical assembly –big plus.
• Strong knowledge on engineering tools and data analysis.
• Proficient in all MS Office applications.
• Demonstrated leadership roles in previous positions.
• Excellent public presentation and interaction skills.
• General project management skills.
• Excellent in reporting (PPT, Keynote).
