Hansecontrol is an independent testing laboratory providing chemical and physical testing services of textiles, apparel, shoes and toys to importers, exporters, retailers, wholesalers and textile manufacturers. Hansecontrol has served the European market for over 30 years through its headquarters and laboratory in Hamburg, Germany. We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of General Manager –at our well established testing laboratory based in Dongguan, China.
The General Manager’s responsibilities include formulating overall strategy, managing people and establishing policies. To be successful in this role, you should be a thoughtful leader and a confident decision-maker, helping our people develop and be productive.
Key Responsibilities:
•Oversee day-to-day operations
•Design strategy and set goals for sustainable growth
•Maintain budgets and optimize expenses to protect margins
•Set policies and processes
•Ensure employees work productively and develop professionally
•Oversee recruitment and training of new employees
•Evaluate and improve operations and financial performance
•Direct the employee assessment process
•Prepare regular reports for upper management
•Ensure staff follows health and safety regulations
•Provide solutions to business challenges
•Assure that quality assurance processes are followed and accreditation requirements are met
To be qualified for the position, the candidate should possess the following elements:
Requirements:
•Proven experience as a General Manager or similar executive role
•Experience in planning and budgeting
•Knowledge of business process and functions (finance, HR, Sales, key account management, operations etc.)
•Strong analytical ability
•Excellent communication skills
•Outstanding organizational and leadership skills
•Problem-solving aptitude
•BSc/BA in Business or relevant field; MSc/MA is a plus
•Previous work experience in consumer products services beneficial but not mandatory required.
