Transfer of responsibility Project Managers will conduct the planning and operations of complex and high profile projects. This includes coordinating details and timing, resources (capacities) and costs (budget). Candidates must adhere to organizational structure and be driven to achieve project goals. Individual activities involve creating, tracking and updating project schedule and stage gate details/information. Project Managers will be responsible for the coordination of multiple projects and ensuring open communication both internally and externally. They will also prepare and conduct project meetings and gate reviews. Project Managers are expected to:
? Meet customer and program milestones by coordinating a cross-functional team including but not limited to Design, Product Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain/Procurement, Sales and Quality
? Monitor and control project progress
? Develop and maintain project timelines of program launches and engineering changes; manage project schedule, identify risks and clearly communicate them to the project stakeholders
? If necessary, clarify corrective measures with customers, contract partners, suppliers and internal specialists and adapt them to the project status and goals
? Escalate the situation timely should deviations arise that endanger the project
? Ensure achievement of agreed project goals
? Support and comply with all company policies, procedures, and standards (IATF16949, QMS, FMEA, PPM, etc.) through compliance, improvement and preventative measures
? Ensure and coordinate communication between company and the individual project stakeholders. Be available to all project stakeholders as a central point of contact.
? Regularly present project status to the Director of Project Management, submit gate reviews for signature and, in case of deviations, bring them to the Project Steering Committee.
? Be personable and approachable to project team
? Adjust communication approaches to accommodate differences in cultural background, skills, etc. in order to minimize misunderstandings and optimize team performance.
