DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES:
Job Description
General Purpose:
Responsible for designing, validating, and implementing operational,
well-functioning and cost effective jigs and fixtures in order to
support optimal and reliable part/product measurements and carry out
gauge R&R, from prototype development throughout full-scale
production.
Principle Accountabilities:
     * Define within the project team the part /
product measurement method including MSOP (Measurement Standard
Operation Procedure) (what to measure, how to measure, equipment and
tools.
     * Develop fixture / jig concept based on MSOP.
     * Detailed design of fixtures and jigs, by
applying complex design practices in metal and plastic fabrication,
using soft tooling, 3D printing and similar processes.
     * Able to understand part and product
functionality with purpose to design operational, well-functioning and
cost effective jigs and fixtures.
     * Able to read and understand 2D drawings
(dimensions, tolerances, geometric tolerances, datums) in order to
translate the available data into a fixture / jig design able to carry
out measurements and tests according to specifications.
     * Work with other members of the development
team to support corporate design initiatives.
Education / Experience
     * Typically requires a Bachelor degree in
related field or equivalent experience and training. 5 years of
experience in engineering in?  the high technology electronics
industry or related area.
