Job Summary
Working with local and UK teams to source components and manufacturing from Guangdong province factories. Sourcing diverse items, such as electrical components, batteries, bolts, injection plastic molding services, CNC services etc. Visiting factories to evaluate their facilities, process and products. Communicating with, and managing, factories for on-going production.
Key Qualifications
1. Junior college or Bachelor and above.
2. Good English communication and presentation skill.
3. Excellent communication skills, good negotiation & technical communication skills for interaction with suppliers and engineering.
4. 6 years or more related working experience, in which 5 years as manufacturer or in Western company as purchasing position.
5. Ability to read mechanical drawing, Quality and process control background is required as well.
6. More than 5 years purchasing and vendor assessment experience in mechanical industry, experience in sourcing of injection plastics moulding, CNC, metal fab. If with experience in PCB, PCBA, component is prefered.
7. Experience in supplier chain management, evaluating factories for western companies is prefferd.
8. Be patient and humility, honest, open, justice, careful and must be excellent on logical thinking.
9. Good command of Office Series and Internet skills.
Description
1. Liaise with UK office and where required, confirm specification of components/raw material and services, lead the efforts towards the evaluation and selection of suppliers
2. New supplier assessment.
3. Consolidate / Optimize both the supply base and supply mode.
4. Analyze commodity data, prepare and issue RFQs to suppliers, follow up, price & cost analysis.
5. Negotiate prices, payment terms and supply agreement with suppliers and enforce supply agreement.
6. Update and maintain supplier database in his/her working areas.
7. Negotiating with factories when performance is bar and find the solution.
8. Meet regularly with the management team of the key suppliers to assure that our requirements are understood and/or corrective plans are in place.
9. Active participation in understanding and meeting the new products and component/raw material requirements to assure that supply base is capable and new products development is adequately supported.
10. Organizing shipping and logistics of products out of Shenzhen.
11. Will Lead the team to finish purchasing task on time, keep high quality work.
12. Assists the manager in setting up the commodity strategy.
