Job Description of Assembly Engineering Specialist
1. Responsibilities:
Clarify underling's role and responsibility; lead and supervise underling's work and audit their performance.
Monitor/analyze the processes and distribution yields and derive improvement opportunities
Plan and coordinate the process buy-off for newly acquired equipment
Drive manufacturing methods that provide efficient/precise instructions for manufacturing processes that include standard work driven by sub-standard material or EC
Assist in all new product failure analysis and evaluate direct material failure analysis covering all the process aspects
Determine type of process/rework flow required
Qualify jig and fixture used
Coordinate and perform day to day yield analysis with the assistance from process technicians, looking for improvement opportunities that covering yield, cost and manpower, to escalate for resolution on any obstacles that hinder improvement opportunites
2. Qualification:
University Degree/Diploma in Electronics or Mechanical Engineering
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills with all departments/units
Experience in the manufacturing of sheet metal and/or plastic parts and assemblies
Apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions
Ability to lead by example
Self-motivated
Team player

Minimum five years experience in related positions
